Today while I was getting ready to finish up some treatment plans that I needed to complete for work. I over heard Justin saying repeatedly to his friends that he has Autism. The first time he said it, it seemed like he was saying it jokingly. He then repeated it several times until I guess someone said to him “No you don’t” and he said “Yes I really do” . He then continues to say “Children with autism are not the same we are all different we just have autism”.
I was amazed at what I heard. My son is proud of who is and his diagnosis. He definitely doesn’t let it define him. I’m sure you’re wondering what happened next. Well I’ll tell you. Nothing happened, he started playing his game again and proceeded to be loud by yelling out silly things.
I hope everyone is doing well.
Until next post.
